Bukayo Saka is injured, and initial reports in the English media suggested he would be sidelined for at least eight weeks.

However, during the press conference following yesterday's victory against Ipswich, Mikel Arteta confirmed that Saka is likely to be out for more than two months.

This has sparked a major debate about whether Arsenal should act in the January transfer market - a step they absolutely need to take.

The media has speculated about several wingers Arsenal could target to replace Bukayo Saka.

Below, I list my top five players Arsenal should consider this winter:

1. Mohammed Kudus

The West Ham winger has been linked with a move to Arsenal for several years, even before he signed for West Ham in the summer of 2023.

In my opinion, Kudus is the perfect replacement for the injured Saka. He is a left-footed right winger who can also play in various attacking positions. Moreover, he excels in one-on-one situations, is quick, explosive, and physically strong.

Kudus should be Arsenal's top priority in January to strengthen their attack.

2. Bryan Mbeumo

The 25-year-old currently playing for Brentford continues to go from strength to strength. Several top clubs in both England and Europe have taken notice of the Cameroonian international.

Mbeumo, like Kudus, is a left-footed right winger and a versatile player - qualities highly valued by Mikel Arteta.

3. Marcus Rashford

It's now widely reported in the media and among football fans that Marcus Rashford could leave Manchester United in January. The club is open to letting Rashford go, either on loan or permanently.

Manchester United are said to demand around £40m for the Englishman, a fee Arsenal might find tempting.

Despite Rashford's poor form and confidence in recent years, we know he is a player who has proven his quality and still has great potential to improve. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal are willing to make a move for Rashford.

4. Ademola Lookman

The Nigerian winger is one of the hottest players on the market right now. His move to Italian club Atalanta has been a resounding success.

Reports suggest Atalanta might sell Lookman in January, as the player is keen to move on and prove he can take his career to an even higher level.

With his speed, excellent technique, and ability to beat full-backs in one-on-one situations, Lookman would be a much better fit for this Arsenal team.

5. Leroy Sané

The Bayern Munich winger's contract expires this summer, and it remains unclear whether he will extend his deal or leave on a free transfer.

Sané will be able to negotiate with foreign clubs in January about a potential free transfer move in the summer.

Given his expiring contract, Arsenal have the chance to sign Sané for a bargain price in January. Arteta also has a good relationship with the German winger from their time together at Manchester City.

Leroy Sané could bring speed, explosiveness, and the ability to play in multiple attacking positions, making him an excellent addition to the squad.
