Arsenal Add Ipswich Star to Summer Wishlist — Race Heats Up Among Top Clubs

Arsenal have reportedly added Ipswich striker Liam Delap on their list of potential summer transfer targets.
Despite Ipswich Town enduring a difficult first season back in the Premier League, 22-year-old Liam Delap has been one of the few bright spots.
The English striker has registered 12 goals and 2 assists in 35 competitive appearances so far this season, form that has reportedly attracted interest from several top clubs across Europe.
Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City are all said to be keeping tabs on Delap ahead of the summer window.
Now, according to FootballTransfers, Arsenal have added Delap to their shortlist as they prepare for the upcoming transfer window.
The Gunners' top target remains Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyökeres, but the club is reportedly open to signing an additional forward to add depth and rotation to Mikel Arteta's attacking options.
The same report claims that Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins is also on Arsenal's radar. New sporting director Andrea Berta is said to have made it clear that the club must focus on winning trophies now—meaning signings should ideally be players who are already performing at the highest level, rather than purely investing in youth.
RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko remains a name under consideration, but since Berta's arrival, the 20-year-old is reportedly no longer viewed as a top priority to strengthen the attack this summer.
