Arsenal Join Race to Sign Bundesliga Star Winger — Chelsea Remain Favourites

Arsenal are reportedly set to join the race for Borussia Dortmund attacker Jamie Gittens this summer.
 

The 20-year-old has enjoyed an impressive season with the German giants, scoring 12 goals and providing five assists across all competitions.

His performances have attracted interest from several top clubs across Europe, and he is widely expected to leave the Bundesliga once the summer transfer window opens.

Chelsea are currently seen as the frontrunners to sign Gittens, but they could now face competition from Arsenal.

According to TBR Football, the Gunners have joined the race to sign the talented winger.

Dortmund had previously set an asking price in the region of £85m, but with the club now likely to miss out on Champions League football next season, they could be forced to lower their demands. Reports suggest a fee of around £51m may now be enough to secure his services.

Like Chelsea, Arsenal are keen to strengthen their options out wide. While Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams remains the club's top target, his reported wage demands—believed to be around £400,000 per week—could prove to be a major stumbling block.

That could open the door for Arsenal to pursue a more affordable deal for Gittens, an exciting young English talent with significant potential.
