Arsenal and Newcastle are reportedly among the clubs battling to sign Las Palmas playmaker Alberto Moleiro this summer.
At the time, sources told Daily-Arsenal.com that Mikel Arteta is a huge admirer of Moleiro, with Arsenal firmly in the mix for the 21-year-old's signature.
However, other Premier League sides, including Tottenham and Newcastle, were also said to be monitoring the situation.
Now, Spanish outlet Orgullo Biri reports that both Arsenal and Newcastle remain in the race to sign the Spain U21 international ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Moleiro, an attacking midfielder who can also operate on either wing, is widely expected to leave Las Palmas this summer, with multiple clubs expressing interest.
