Arsenal could reportedly make a formal offer for Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyökeres in the coming hours.
 

The 27-year-old's future remains uncertain, but Arsenal are believed to be the frontrunners to secure his signature this summer.

Multiple reports have suggested that Gyökeres' top priority is to join Arsenal ahead of the new season.

Now, a fresh update on the Sweden international's future has emerged.

According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, Sporting CP are still awaiting an official bid from Arsenal for Gyökeres.

It is claimed that the Gunners could submit a formal proposal in the next few hours, with Mikel Arteta's side prepared to offer up to €70m — €60m upfront and €10m in bonuses.

However, it remains to be seen whether Sporting will accept the bid, as they continue to hold firm on their €80m price tag.
