Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a potential summer move for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike.

The 23-year-old is widely expected to leave the Bundesliga club this summer, with several top European sides, including Arsenal, having registered an interest.

Now, a more concrete update has emerged regarding the Frenchman's future.

According to German outlet Sport Bild, Arsenal are "seriously" considering a move for Ekitike during the current transfer window.

Although the Gunners' primary striker targets are believed to be Benjamin Šeško and Viktor Gyökeres, the club are also exploring a broader range of options, with Ekitike among the names on their shortlist.

With no deal for either Šeško or Gyökeres believed to be close, Arsenal could turn their attention to the Eintracht Frankfurt centre-forward, who is now seen as a serious option for Mikel Arteta's side.

However, any potential deal is unlikely to come cheap, with the German club reportedly setting a staggering €100m asking price.
