His departure created a significant vacancy in Arteta's backroom team, with reports suggesting the club would seek a replacement.

Now, it appears they have found one.

According to an exclusive by David Ornstein, 47-year-old former footballer Gabriel Heinze is set to join Arsenal ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Heinze and Arteta are familiar with each other from their playing days at Paris Saint-Germain, where they were teammates.
