Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta has reportedly spoken to AC Milan forward Rafael Leão in recent weeks.
 

The 25-year-old has been linked with a potential summer departure from San Siro, with several European giants reportedly showing interest.

With Arsenal eager to strengthen their attack this summer, the Portuguese international has emerged as a possible transfer target.

According to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, Arsenal are indeed interested in Leão, who is believed to be on the club's shortlist of attacking targets.

Aouna adds that the Gunners' newly appointed sporting director, Andrea Berta, has recently made contact with the Milan winger over the phone to express the club's interest ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

However, Leão is not currently considered a priority target for Mikel Arteta's side, with other options also being evaluated before a final decision is made.
