Arsenal are reportedly set to offer Ethan Nwaneri a new contract, with optimism growing that an agreement will be reached soon.
 

The 18-year-old wonderkid has been linked with a surprise exit from the Emirates in recent weeks, with Chelsea among the clubs showing interest.

However, Arsenal are now working on a contract extension, and it looks increasingly likely that a deal will be sealed.

According to BBC Sport reporter Sami Mokbel, the Gunners are preparing to submit a formal contract offer to Nwaneri.

Talks over a new deal are expected to accelerate in the coming days, with all parties keen to reach an agreement.

Nwaneri is expected to be offered either a five-year contract or a four-year deal with an option for an additional year.
