Arsenal have reportedly decided to pursue a summer deal for Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyökeres.
 

The Gunners are yet to sign a new striker ahead of next season, with both Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyökeres continuously linked with a potential move to the Emirates.

Now, it seems like Arsenal have made their choice.

According to ESPN, Mikel Arteta and the Arsenal hierarchy have decided to go all in for Viktor Gyökeres.

Sporting director Andra Berta is understood to have travelled to Portugal several times to negotiate with both Sporting and Gyökeres' agent Hasan Cetinkaya.

Talks are believed to be "going well."

There's growing optimism at Arsenal that a deal for the Sweden international could be completed soon.
