Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze's £68m release clause is reportedly set to expire at 11:59pm tonight, amid strong interest from Arsenal.

The 27-year-old is widely expected to leave Oliver Glasner's side this summer, with Arsenal believed to be in pole position to sign him.

Eze's current contract includes a £68m release clause, but so far, the Gunners have shown no intention of activating it.

According to Ben Jacobs, Arsenal are fully informed of the situation and have made it clear to Crystal Palace that they will not trigger the clause before it expires.

If Arsenal still want to sign Eze this summer, they will now need to enter formal negotiations with Palace over a potential deal.

Eze is said to have already made it clear that he wants to join Arsenal ahead of the new season, and he has reportedly held direct talks with both Mikel Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta.

It now remains to be seen whether the two clubs can reach an agreement before the transfer window closes.
