CLUB SOURCE: Palmeiras move for Arsenal forward not likely

Gabriel Jesus has been heavily linked with a move back to Brazil and to his former club Palmeiras in recent weeks.
 

A Palmeiras source has told Daily Arsenal that the Brazilian side are very interested in signing the 27-year-old, although a potential move is not on the cards as things stand.

The source has told us that Palmeiras held talks with Arsenal a few months ago over the possibility of negotiating a deal for Gabriel Jesus. But Arsenal said no and completely ruled out this possibility.

Palmeiras remain keen on the Brazil international ahead of a future transfer attempt. But Daily Arsenal can confirm there are no discussions or negotiations ongoing between the two clubs, which makes a potential return to his home country unlikely at this stage.
