Arsenal kept their very slim Premier League title hopes alive with a dominant 4-0 victory over Ipswich Town on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners entered the match knowing that a defeat would all but confirm Liverpool as champions with five games remaining. While that possibility lingered in the minds of some Gooners, any pre-match nerves were quickly eased when Leandro Trossard opened the scoring early in the first half, finishing off a brilliant team move that began deep in Arsenal's own half.

After sustained pressure, Arsenal doubled their lead just before the half-hour mark through an even more dazzling move. Gabriel Martinelli was on hand to tap home after a sublime backheel assist from Mikel Merino. Ipswich's task became even harder moments later when Leif Davis was sent off for a reckless challenge on Bukayo Saka. The English winger nearly capitalised immediately, but some uncharacteristic finishing kept the score at 2-0 heading into the break.

The second half saw Arsenal struggle initially to break down Ipswich's ten men, but their persistence from short corner routines eventually paid off. Leandro Trossard grabbed his second of the afternoon with a clinical strike through a defender's legs after being picked out in the box. Surprisingly, it marked his first brace for the club.

Mikel Arteta rang the changes in the second half, and one in particular paid off handsomely – the introduction of teenager Ethan Nwaneri. The youngster capped off a memorable afternoon by scoring Arsenal's fourth and final goal to seal a comfortable win.

Next up for the Gunners is a midweek home clash with Crystal Palace, as the season edges closer to its conclusion. Arsenal will be hoping to extend Liverpool's wait to be crowned champions with another strong performance.

From today's match, my man of the match was Martin Ødegaard. Despite not scoring, he was simply unplayable at times and at the heart of everything positive Arsenal produced.

That's my take – who was your man of the match, Gooners? Let us know in the comments below.
