FROM BRAZIL: Arsenal midfielder receives Qatar offer — rejects it in favor of Flamengo move

Arsenal midfielder Jorginho has reportedly rejected a proposal from Qatar.

The Italy international has attracted interest from multiple clubs in recent months. His contract at Arsenal expires this summer, and the current expectation is that he will not extend his stay in London.

Brazilian side Flamengo have been heavily linked with a move for the 33-year-old.

Now, BolaVip in Brazil reports that Jorginho received an offer from Qatar ahead of a potential free transfer this summer. However, he has turned down the bid and instead prefers a move to Flamengo.

The report also states that Flamengo sporting director José Boto is set to meet with Jorginho in March to finalize the deal.
