Yesterday, reliable journalist David Ornstein reported that the Bundesliga side are working on a permanent deal for the 25-year-old attacking midfielder.

Now, a new update from Germany has emerged.

According to BILD, a summer transfer could be complicated by Arsenal's valuation of the player.

The Gunners are understood to be demanding around €30m for the Portuguese international, while Stuttgart are only willing to pay a maximum of €20m.

With both clubs currently some way apart in their valuations, a deal may prove difficult to finalise.
