FROM NIGERIA: Arsenal ready to pay world-class striker’s release clause — contacted agent last week

Arsenal have reportedly been in touch with Victor Osimhen's representatives over a possible summer move.

The Nigerian forward is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, but recent reports suggest he is expected to leave the Serie A side permanently at the end of the season.

Multiple top clubs across Europe have been linked with a move, including Manchester United and Arsenal.

Now, Nigerian journalist Buchi Laba, who is also believed to be a close friend of Osimhen, states on X (formerly Twitter) that Arsenal made contact with the striker's camp last week.

The Gunners are said to be willing to pay the 26-year-old's release clause, which will be activated this summer.
