Arsenal have reportedly shifted their focus to a summer move for Real Madrid winger Rodrygo after missing out on Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams, who is now close to joining Barcelona.

Mikel Arteta had identified Williams as his top winger target ahead of the summer transfer window, but with the 21-year-old now on the verge of a move to Camp Nou, the Gunners are exploring alternative options.

According to Spanish outlet Diario AS, Arsenal are prepared to make a move for Rodrygo, with the Brazilian now emerging as their primary attacking target.

Barcelona's progress in securing a deal for Williams has led Arsenal to step away from the race, and attention has now turned to the 24-year-old Real Madrid forward.

However, any potential deal for Rodrygo is expected to be complicated, with both his wage demands and Madrid's valuation posing significant challenges.

Previous reports have indicated that Los Blancos would demand around €90m for the winger.
