From Spain: Atletico Madrid Reject Chance to Sign Arsenal Star This Summer — Player Increasingly Likely to Leave the Emirates

Atletico Madrid have reportedly decided against re-signing Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey this summer.
The 32-year-old's contract at the Emirates is set to expire at the end of the month, and his future remains uncertain.
Recent reports have suggested that Partey is increasingly likely to leave the club, with contract talks having stalled.
Several clubs have been linked with a potential free transfer for the Ghana international, including former club Atletico Madrid, as well as Fenerbahce and AC Milan.
However, according to Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo, Atletico have turned down the chance to bring Partey back to the Wanda Metropolitano.
Diego Simeone's side are instead focused on completing a deal for Real Betis midfielder Johnny Cardoso. Should that move fall through, alternative options will be considered.
Partey has also been linked with a possible move to Barcelona, although it remains to be seen whether the Catalan giants will step up their interest if he leaves Arsenal on a free transfer.
