Jeremy Jacquet in Arsenal’s sights?

Arsenal are reportedly showing interest in signing young Rennes centre-back Jérémy Jacquet.
The 20-year-old defender is capable of playing across the backline and fits the versatile profile that Mikel Arteta is known to prioritise when strengthening his defence — making Jacquet a logical target.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have made initial enquiries to express their interest in Jacquet, with the Frenchman said to be high on the list of potential signings ahead of deadline day or possibly even for the January window.
Arsenal recently completed the £15m signing of centre-back Cristian Mosquera, which has led to questions about whether further reinforcements in defence are necessary — especially given the team's creative struggles higher up the pitch. However, Jacquet is believed to be viewed as a potential replacement for Jakub Kiwior, whose future in North London remains uncertain.
There appears to be genuine substance to Arsenal's interest in Jacquet, and this is certainly a situation worth monitoring in the coming weeks.
