Arsenal are reportedly close to reaching a full agreement with Sporting CP to sign Viktor Gyökeres this summer.
 

After weeks of negotiations between the two clubs, a deal now appears to be edging closer.

According to The Athletic's David Ornstein, Arsenal are in the process of finalising a summer move for Gyökeres.

This update has been backed by several other sources, including Fabrizio Romano, who reports that an agreement is getting closer following fresh talks earlier today.

The Gunners are now understood to be ready to pay €70m plus €10m in add-ons — the figure Sporting have been demanding to sell their prolific striker.

With a full agreement believed to be imminent, Gyökeres now looks set to become Arsenal's new No.9 ahead of next season.
