Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyökeres has reportedly informed the club's president that he has no intention of playing for them again.
 

The 27-year-old's future remains one of the biggest talking points of the summer, with a move to Arsenal understood to be his top priority.

However, Sporting are holding out for at least €80m for the Sweden international — a figure the Gunners are currently unwilling to meet.

The Portuguese champions' firm stance is said to have left Gyökeres increasingly frustrated.

Now, a major update has emerged regarding the striker's future.

Both transfer expert Fabrizio Romano and Portuguese outlet Record report that Gyökeres has told Sporting he will never play for the club again, following recent public comments made by president Frederico Varandas.

Gyökeres is reportedly feeling "tired and betrayed.”
