Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera is reportedly set to join Arsenal this summer, with both clubs having reached an agreement over a deal.

The Athletic's David Ornstein initially reported that Arsenal were close to completing a deal for the 21-year-old, with a club-to-club agreement nearly finalised.

Now, it seems the deal is all but done.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims that Arsenal have reached a verbal agreement with Valencia to sign Mosquera.

The deal is understood to be worth a total package of €20m — €15m upfront plus €5m in add-ons.

Mosquera has made it clear he only wanted to join Mikel Arteta's side this summer, and if all goes to plan, he is expected to undergo his medical later this week.
