Liverpool have reportedly made an approach to sign Newcastle striker Alexander Isak this summer.
 
The 25-year-old superstar has been heavily linked with a move away from St. James' Park, with several European giants showing interest.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has long viewed the Sweden international as his dream striker target, but with the Gunners now on the verge of signing Sporting's Viktor Gyökeres, any move for Isak is considered off the table.

However, the striker could still be on the move this summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein, Liverpool have approached Newcastle over a potential deal for Alexander Isak.

Newcastle's stance remains unchanged — the player is not for sale. But Liverpool are expected to push, with Arne Slot being a huge admirer of the forward.

If a deal goes through, it would represent a huge blow to Arsenal and other title challengers next season.
