Sporting are reportedly prepared to restart talks with Arsenal over Viktor Gyökeres within the next 48 hours.
 

The two clubs have been in negotiations over a potential summer deal for the 27-year-old striker, who has made it clear that he only wants to join Arsenal ahead of next season.

Recent reports from Portugal suggested the deal was on the verge of collapsing, with Arsenal said to be close to giving up their pursuit.

However, it now appears the move is back on.

According to The Mirror's John Cross, Sporting are ready to resume negotiations with Arsenal in the next 48 hours.

There is said to be huge optimism that a deal will be completed, with Gyökeres expected to become Arsenal's new striker.
