Reliable source: Arsenal REMAIN in negotiations to sign world-class player — 5-year deal already agreed despite reports of talks collapsing

Arsenal are reportedly still in talks with Sporting over the signing of Viktor Gyökeres, despite recent claims that negotiations have stalled.
 

Reports in recent days suggested that the two clubs were in advanced discussions over a potential deal for the 27-year-old striker.

However, fresh rumours over the last 24 hours claimed that talks had broken down and that the deal was at risk of collapsing.

Now, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has denied those claims.

Arsenal and Sporting remain in active negotiations over Gyökeres, with the deal still considered to be at an advanced stage.

Meanwhile, the Sweden international is still insisting he will not report for pre-season training with Sporting, which officially begins on Friday.
