Report: Arsenal among multiple clubs keen on Sporting CP star this summer — and it’s not Viktor Gyökeres

Arsenal are reportedly among several clubs interested in a potential summer move for Sporting CP winger Geny Catamo.
 

The 24-year-old has impressed at the Portuguese club, and his performances have attracted attention from multiple sides across Europe.

According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal are one of the teams tracking Catamo ahead of a possible transfer in the upcoming window. The Gunners have recently scouted the Mozambique international, although no formal approach has been made.

Premier League rivals Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Everton, Wolves, and Fulham are also believed to be monitoring the winger's development.

Catamo is understood to have a €60m release clause in his current contract with Sporting, but one source told CaughtOffside that clubs may look to test the Lisbon side's resolve with offers in the region of €25–30m.
