Report: Arsenal among Premier League clubs interested in Argentine forward — €16m release clause may be triggered

Arsenal are reportedly among the clubs interested in signing Vélez Sarsfield forward Maher Carrizo this summer.

The 19-year-old's impressive performances for the Argentine side have attracted interest from several clubs across Europe.

According to Argentine journalist Martín Etcheverry, Arsenal are one of several Premier League sides closely monitoring the talented attacker.

However, Manchester City are said to be leading the race for Carrizo's signature, having already held talks with the player's representatives.

Manchester United, Wolves, and Southampton are also reportedly interested in the Vélez Sarsfield wonderkid.

Carrizo is believed to have a release clause in his current contract worth around €16m.
