Report: Arsenal and Chelsea showing interest in signing Newcastle star this summer — and it’s not Alexander Isak

Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon this summer.
 

The 24-year-old was heavily linked with a move away from St. James' Park last summer, with Liverpool pushing hard to secure a deal.

However, no transfer materialised, and instead, Gordon signed a new long-term contract with Newcastle in October 2024.

Despite committing his future to the Magpies, speculation over the England international's future persists ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

According to The i Paper's North Football Correspondent Mark Douglas, both Arsenal and Chelsea are monitoring Gordon ahead of a potential summer move.

It is understood there is some uncertainty surrounding his future, with a reported price tag of around £80 million.

Transfer insider David Ornstein has previously reported that Arsenal are long-time admirers of Gordon, making this a situation to keep a close eye on as the window approaches.
