Report: Arsenal enter race to sign Brighton winger this summer - Bayern Munich also circling

Arsenal have reportedly entered the race to sign Brighton star Kaoru Mitoma this summer.
 

Gunners sporting director Andrea Berta is working hard behind the scenes to strengthen the club's attack ahead of the upcoming transfer window, with a world-class striker and a new winger among several positions expected to be addressed.

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are also reportedly interested in a summer deal for Brighton's Mitoma. However, they could now face competition for his signature.

Sky Sport Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg claims that Arsenal have Kaoru Mitoma on their list of attacking targets this summer.

The Gunners are currently exploring several options to strengthen out wide, and Mitoma is understood to be one of them.

The 28-year-old Japan international is under contract at Brighton until the summer of 2027. Should the Seagulls choose to sell, a fee in the region of €50m would likely be enough to secure his services.
