Report: Arsenal face competition from two Premier League rivals for 20-year-old Ligue 1 star this summer

Liverpool and Newcastle are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal target Jérémy Jacquet this summer.
 

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano previously reported that Arsenal have made initial contact with Rennes over a potential deal for the 20-year-old centre-back.

Now, it appears the Gunners could face stiff competition for his signature.

According to TBR Football's Graeme Bailey, both Liverpool and Newcastle are showing interest in signing Jacquet.

However, a summer move remains unlikely at this stage, with Rennes having made it clear the defender is not for sale.

It's understood Jacquet is currently holding talks with his representatives over his future, and interested clubs believe there is still a chance he could leave before the transfer window closes.
