Report: Arsenal midfielder to arrive in Rio de Janeiro on Friday to complete summer move — medical and three-year deal expected

Arsenal midfielder Jorginho is reportedly set to arrive in Brazil on Friday to officially sign a three-year contract with Flamengo.
 

A few weeks ago, the Brazilian club reached an agreement to sign Jorginho on a free transfer this summer.

The Italy international is keen to play in the Club World Cup with Flamengo, which has led to a decision to terminate his Arsenal contract earlier than planned.

According to Globo Esporte, Jorginho is now expected to arrive in Rio de Janeiro on Friday morning.

The 33-year-old is set to undergo medical tests and sign the three-year deal later the same day.
