Fenerbahce are reportedly ready to make a swoop for Viktor Gyökeres if his move to Arsenal falls through.

The 27-year-old striker is closing in on a summer move to the Emirates, with negotiations between Sporting and Arsenal understood to be in the final stages.

However, Sporting still demand €70m upfront plus €10m in bonuses, while Arsenal have offered €65m plus €15m in add-ons to secure the Sweden international's signature.

Now, a surprise update has emerged regarding his future.

Portuguese outlet Record reports that Fenerbahce are prepared to pursue a deal for Viktor Gyökeres if talks with Arsenal collapse.

The Turkish giants would be ready to sign the Swedish striker on an initial loan deal.

Meanwhile, The Sun reported earlier today that Gyökeres already has a plan B if a move to Arsenal breaks down.

That plan is understood to involve going out on loan to another European club next season.
