Sky Sports: Former Arsenal fan favourite in talks to join Newcastle — loan deal with option to buy on the table

Former Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is reportedly in talks to join Newcastle United this summer.
 

The 27-year-old left the Gunners in the summer of 2024 to join Southampton in an initial £18m deal.

With the Saints now relegated to the Championship, the England international appears set for another move.

According to Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie, Newcastle are in talks to sign Ramsdale this summer.

The news has since been confirmed by both David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano.

Newcastle are understood to be negotiating a season-long loan deal with an option to buy.

No agreement has been reached yet between the clubs, but a deal is increasingly likely.
