Arsenal are reportedly expected to step up their pursuit of Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze following the arrival of Christian Nørgaard.

The 27-year-old attacking midfielder has been heavily linked with a potential move to the Emirates in recent weeks, with talks already having taken place between Arsenal and his representatives.

Now, an update has emerged regarding the England international's future.

According to The Guardian, Arsenal are now set to accelerate their attempts to sign Eze.

Club-to-club talks are yet to begin, but the Gunners are prepared to make contact with Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish.

However, any offers below Eze's asking price are likely to be rejected, with the player having a £60m release clause that can be activated this summer.
