Arsenal have reportedly made their intentions clear regarding Gabriel's contract situation.

The 27-year-old is currently sidelined with an injury and is not expected to return before the end of the season.

Transfer insider Ben Jacobs reported back in March that Al-Nassr had made contact with the player's representatives ahead of a potential summer move. Jacobs also suggested that the Saudi side were considering a bid for the Brazilian.

Gabriel's current deal with Arsenal runs until 2027, and recent reports claim the club is ready to offer him a new contract extension this summer.

Now, the reliable Brazilian outlet UOL reports that Arsenal are keen to extend the centre-back's contract and have made that clear to the player and his camp.

The same source also states that Gabriel has received enquiries from several clubs in both Europe and Saudi Arabia.

However, the Gunners are eager for him to stay, and newly appointed sporting director Andrea Berta is expected to lead negotiations over a fresh new deal for the Brazil international.
